Halloween 2009!

We had a great Halloween this year. Pretty much just kept it low key and hung out with the family. Friday night was our ward's trunk or treat and it was SO fun!! They had a bounce house, cotton candy machine, and lots of yummy chili and cornbread. The night ended with fun trunk or treating. It was our first outing with the baby and it felt so good to see people again. Saturday night we just hung out as a family. We got pizza and went trick or treating around the neighborhood. I seriously love this time of year so much. It all goes up from here. Can't wait for Thanksgiving!!

Introducing....

PRESTON SEAN HILL!!!
Born: Monday, September 28th 7:04 Am
6lbs 15 oz, 20 inches

All day Sunday I was feeling a lot of pressure and back pain. I was trying to just work through it because I really wasn't having any regular contractions. Sunday night we had some friends over for dinner and the pain progressively started to get worse and worse. Our friends left and I called my sister to ask her about the pain that I was having and she told me that it sounded like I was in labor. Everyone has always told me that you will know if you are in labor or not, but I just wasn't sure. (Since I was induced with Parker I had never even felt a contraction.) So I decided to take a bath and try to relax...which always helps. But this time was different. I started to feel a lot of pain and I knew we had better get it checked out. So at 10:30 pm my sister came over to stay with Parker and Sean and I headed to the hospital. When we got there I was dilated to a 4 and having contractions every 3 to 5 minutes. I walked around for an hour and the nurse checked me again and I was at a 5. So at 12:00 am I was admitted and by 12:30 am I got my epidural and was feeling great. By 3:00 am I was at a 7 which is where I stayed until the Dr. came in at 6:00 am and broke my water, and by 6:30 am I was at a 10 and ready to go! We had to wait for the Dr. to come back so I didn't start pushing until 6:50 and Preston came shortly after at 7:04 am. The whole experience was very smooth and easy. We couldn't have been more blessed. I was pretty nervous that my mom wasn't going to be able to make it, but Sean was amazing through the whole thing. I felt very supported and taken care of. My mom got here Monday night and has been with us ever since. She has been an angel and we have been very spoiled. Sean's mom was also able to come for a few days which was another amazing blessing. Parker has been SO sweet. He is constantly giving Preston kisses and trying to help. He always says "I sorry brother, I sorry" and kisses him on the head. It is so fun to watch. So here we are almost a week later and life couldn't be better. We LOVE this little guys so much. He has brought such a sweet spirit into our home and I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for trusting me with two of his children. Their really is no better job in the world then being a mother.

3 in the morning and wishing I could fall a sleep.

Finally here!! Such a little guy!

First family photo. (They had a new policy that kids 12 and under weren't allowed to come into the hospital, so no pics with Parker.)

Parker finally gets to meet his little brother!

The proud papa!

Time for an update!

Ok it's been way to long and I'm sick of looking at my old post. So the only thing to do to change that is to bite the bullet and do a new post. Things have been going great. We moved into our new house at the end of August, and absolutely love it. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing that this is your home. The move went pretty smooth and I am so grateful that it is done and over with. My good/amazing friend, Natalie, came out for a few days from Cali and helped me get soooo much done. She was seriously a life savor and I cannot thank her enough. Other then that we have just been trying to get ready to have this baby. I am now 38 weeks and am counting down the hours. I have been dilated to 3 1/2 80 % effaced for about two weeks now, so I keep thinking it will be any day but who knows. I am scheduled to be induced on Oct. 1st if I don't come before that. A week ago I really thought I would be holding a baby by now, but I am pretty sure I will be going all the way to the 1st. So we'll see what happens. Other then that I have been feeling pretty good and am trying to enjoy these last couple of weeks I have with just Parker. It is so crazy to me that I am going to have to share my attention. It will def. be an adjustment I'm sure, but I am so excited to have this new little boy here. Hopefully it won't be long!!

I love this picture of Parker!

I love this man! Happy 5 years!!

Parker turns 2!!!

Happy Birthday Parker!!!! The best thing about having your birthday on Sunday is that you get to celebrate all weekend long. We love this guy so much and are so happy and grateful to have him in our family. He brings us so much joy we don't know what we would do without him. It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. I can't wait for what this next year has in store for him. He is the best kid a mom could ask for. Love you Parker!!
